F Bomb ALERT
I am an iTunes junky. There I said it. Since we are on a budget we use Quiken. At any time my husband can randomly update me on how much I have spent on music this month or this year. It's great. It also reports that I have spent enough on my classroom this year to buy a used car. That's nice, too. Since I've been working as a teacher for 13 years I could have a used car lot. And no, it's not all tax deductible- only $250 is and I spent that on pencils.
Music motivates me. It ramps up my cardio or it calms me down on a crazy day. My boys and I dance around the house or mostly I seize, Toby stomps and James rolls his eyes. Here is a great way to add a mashed upbeat FREE mix to your day. 60 minutes of awesomeness! I heart mash-ups, too. You can download and transfer to iTunes. In iTunes you can edit the start time of the song to cut out the "Steady 130" intro. Here is a link to my Ping Playlist in iTunes. ALL of my November favorites just waiting for you to preview.
If you are adding walking to your daily routine, a new playlist can really motivate you to get out of bed or to just finish that extra 5 minutes. Music helps people to connect, to self-motivate. It's uncanny how powerful the message of music can be. I also listen to books on my walks or runs. There's only so much time in a day and only so much of me to go around- some days life stretches a person like tissue paper. I've downloaded audio books before or imported library cds onto my computer in iTunes.
I have a special playlist to give to the first 10 responses to this question: What are you grateful for?
